Wowser, this course put my brain in overload! I think at moments steam probably escaped from my ears as my brain worked harder than it has in a while. I'm pleased to have gained some knowledge regarding data sets and how to turn data into graphs and tables.
Our final assignment--looking at sites that support datasets as well as locating a couple of datasets on my own--was interesting. The amount of information available on the web is staggering. I haven't pinpointed a set of data to use in my classroom or how I'd use the information from this class with my students. I hope if an opportunity presents itself during our research unit, I will be able to challenge some of my students to compile and represent data to support their research. I think this may be a good way to challenge some of my high-achieving students.
