I think my title for this week's blog post would more appropriately be titled "Attempting to Work with Data..." I feel as thought I'm blindly leading myself through trying to upload data into a spreadsheet for analysis. The Descriptive Report Assignment has so frustrated me that I'm to the point of just ignoring that I have to do it...Shameful, I know.
I enjoyed wading through Wikipedia searching for a deeper understanding of statistics and such. The more I use Wikipedia, the more fond I grow of it as a tool to guide my learning and thinking. The background information I gained through that search was information I may have gained via textbook reading. But, searching the web provides higher engagement. Must be the clicking of keys and use of the mouse!
Capterra is a fascinating site! I have yet to encounter a need for survey software, etc., but if I am ever in a position that calls for such a need, I will return to Capterra. Looking at the great variety of Survey Software available for our Survey Tool Comparison assignment was interesting. I'm amazed at what's out there as well as the HUGE cost differences in survey tools. I wonder, on average, how much time, energy and footwork companies place into searching for the right tool(s) for their need(s)???
I feel as thought I'm going through the motions for class but not learning as much as I "should" be...I also feel too self-directed...maybe it's just me.
Off to crunch numbers!
